I am an experienced Executive Coach, Emotions and NLP Coach, and educator with over 25 years' experience in the independent education sector, including almost a decade in senior leadership. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping people realise their potential, whether they are leading organisations, navigating career transitions, developing confidence, or seeking greater balance and fulfilment.
After studying Classics at the University of Liverpool, I spent three years travelling and working in America, Australia and Canada before returning to the UK to complete my PGCE at the University of Nottingham. I went on to enjoy a rewarding career in education, teaching Latin, Ancient Greek and Classical Civilisation before moving into a variety of leadership roles. My experience has included pastoral leadership, academic management, admissions and marketing, partnerships, and whole-school strategic development. Alongside these roles, I developed and led mindfulness and coaching programmes, seeing first-hand the transformative impact coaching can have on wellbeing, confidence and performance.
Coaching has been at the heart of my work for over a decade. During this time, I have worked with staff, senior leaders and young people, helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence. More recently, I have designed and delivered coaching programmes across schools and organisations, exploring topics such as active listening, managing change, having courageous conversations, achieving work-life balance and developing non-judgemental coaching skills. I have also provided executive coaching for senior leaders both in the UK and internationally.
My professional coaching qualifications include certification as an NLP and Emotions Coach and a Level 7 Diploma training in Coaching and Mentoring with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). These, combined with my extensive leadership experience, allow me to bring both practical understanding and evidence-based coaching approaches to every client relationship.
My coaching style is collaborative, reflective and non-directive. Grounded in person-centred principles and informed by NLP, emotional awareness and reflective practice, I provide a safe, confidential and respectful environment where clients can explore challenges, gain clarity and make meaningful, sustainable change. While my approach is warm and empathetic, I also believe that growth comes from thoughtful challenge, and I gently encourage clients to look beyond assumptions, uncover new perspectives and step confidently into their potential.
I work with executive and non-executive clients on leadership development, career progression, personal growth, strategic change and life transitions. I also coach adolescents within educational settings, supporting wellbeing, resilience, confidence and academic success. Coaching is available both in person and online, offering flexibility to meet individual needs.
Professionalism, trust and psychological safety are at the heart of everything I do. I adhere to the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics, ensuring every coaching relationship is built on confidentiality, respect and integrity. I am also a member of the Ollie Coaching Group and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
At heart, I'm a family person and cherish spending time with my husband, our two daughters and out much-loved dog Merlot. When I'm not coaching, you'll often find me in Spain, paddleboarding, playing golf, enjoying long walks or listening to a mindfulness meditation. I believe in practising the same balance and self-care that I encourage in others.
I'm also a creative person at heart. I love designing and making handmade cards, writing children's and adult fiction, and curling up with a good book—particularly if it's in the gothic genre. These creative pursuits help me recharge and bring fresh perspective to both my work and everyday life.
